Freezing point 11.8 degrees Celsius, boiling point 84 degrees Celsius (0.133kPa), the relative density of 1.070, refractive index of 1.4770, viscosity (20 DEG C), 22Pa = s, flash point (opening cup) 128 degrees Celsius, soluble in water, ethanol and acetone, slightly soluble in benzene. Almost insoluble in lower aliphatic hydrocarbons or aromatics. It can participate in esterification, alkylation, cyclization, substitution, addition and isomerization.
